Some thread said I should check the ECU relay. Where is the resistor?

either post a link or explain what the issue is. there are tons of different connections and all do different things. if you dont know what you are looking for and i point you in the wrong direction you are even farther up shi t creek.

might as well do it right the first time.

there is alot of different resistors...... he is speaking of the DROPPING RESISTOR which is a box(silver usually in color) that is separate from the ECU and that reduces the IMPEDENCE so that the injectors will fire properly.

idle problem on breaking still doesnt tell much. relays are what tell things to go on and off..... such as fan relays, igintion relays, and AC relays. when it gets a signal to trigger it flips and sends current. till it gets the signal it does not send the current.

a resistor affects the amount of current passing in a circuit.

can you tell me what issues it is exactly? is it jumping up and down? is it attempting ot stall? what does it do at idle?

I would start with something very important and simple and suggest cleaning the maf....

I overoiled the K&N so now I have to clean the IAT in the MAF. But the idle is from the IAA so next week I'll get into all of this. The idle drops to 500rpm when I brake. There's other threads talking about this. Someone brought up the ECU [relay] so I was curious.

ECU relay or whatever their stressing has nothing to do with your idle . Start looking at your idle control section as well as vacuum hoses.

Sounds like it could easily be a vacuum leak to me.
