ecu red led light

When I went to pull my codes the red L.E.D light was already on. If I was reading right from this web site http://www.240sx.org/faq/artic...h.htm

then this means that The ECU's CPU or the Crank Angle sensor is malfunctioning.

Then I turned the knob and it was blinking in a certain order not really to sure on how to to pull the codes or I would tell you the codes. My car isn't starting so would the crank angle sensor cause this?

the blinking corresponds to numbers. the first set you count by 10s the second set of blinks count by ones. i.e. 2 long blinks pause (this gives 20) then 1 short blink and pause (this gives 1) gives code 21.

crank position sensor would cause a no start.

your red light can also mean your ecu is no good. codes 21 and 11 simultaneously indicate a crank position sensor problem

ok so... mine blinked 10 times like in this order 1...2...3...4...5...6.7.8.9.10. then it would pause and repeat. Still confused on exactly how to understand these blinks.

yeah at first it was confusing to me as well!

ok so following wath u said; that means u got code 55

the first five long ones u count by tens

the next five quick ones u count them by ones.

so 5long + 5quick = code 55.

oh!, I almost forgot...this code means...well ur E.C.U. can't find anything wrong(that means any problem ur having is off the computers hands); make sure ur resetting the computer before any code retrieving.

your light is supposed to be on in mode 1 with ignition in on position. if the light comes on when your engine is on you have a problem with your ecu or crank angle sensor. for california, the light comes on for more codes. so, you can have codes and the light wont come on.

Also if three of my injectors were out then my ecu would have let me no right?

you couldnt really drive. your knock sensor would give a code for sure.

Yeah it didn't give any code or well just the code 55. Hey vancouver I have seen some of your forums and you seem really knowledgeable on these car. If you could just take a look at my other forum (anger and frustration) it would be appreciated.
