Ok lemme explain myself... Someone I know is selling me a Norris designs stage 1 chip for $80.... Its only the chip! Now I want to keep a stock ECU around For "the just incase"... So my question is is that a good price for the chip alone? And can I attach it to a KA ECU and have it work? If not can you please explain why for future reference.

The chips are designed for specific motors, your ka would have a fit and probly not run with that chip in (i think). But, when you get your ECU socketed for the chip, if they can extend the pins, then you could just make the chips removable and have a stock chip to put in if u needed it.

Im sorry... I dont understand... Will it not work because of the KA motor, because I have a CA... The only reason I ask is because I have alot of KA ECUs lying around and i was wondering if I could attach the Norris CA chip to the KA ECU and have it work just like it was a CA ecu... But the Idea that you had of making the chips detatchable sounds good!

No. KA ECU is for KA series motors. CA ECU is for CA series motors. You need to socket a CA ECU to use that chip.
