Will a #E5 ECU for an s13 blacktop power a s13 redtop? Or will I need the # 62? I used a SARD tuned E5 once and the car started but fried later on due to bad mafs wiring, the ecu was rebuilt and the ecu is getting power but the coil packs are not fire. If the E5 is my problem, I will trade it straight up for a #62 ecu. My E5 is tuned for intake, exhaust, 13psi, removed speed and rev limiter.

check to make sure the ignitor is not fried. If the ecu was, then it is also a possibility...

Redtops will run off of: #62, #63, E5 and E4/6? (whatever the auto one is)

Early model S13 blacktops will run off of: #62, #63, E5 and E4/6? (whatever the auto one is)

Late model S13 blacktops will run off of J4. But can be repinned to run any S13 SR.

I dont think the ECU compatibility is your problem

So if the ECU is powering the SAFC, then everything should be working right? The ignitor chip has been replaced with a z32 chip and is wired correctly. I'm getting a ground to all of the coil packs but no spark. I will see if the coil pack harness is getting power to it.
