ECU Questions.

Me and my buddy were taking off our sped limiters on our skylines. Obviously to do this you gotta take out your ecu. So we did them and these are how they compared.

Mines on the left. Here's a pic:It has that SARD bardge on it, and around the cover, there are stickers like this:"Advanced Full computer"

What is this? I'm very curious to what has been done to it? does anyone have an idea? engine is rb20det. Previous owner didnt know anything about it, so i may have gottena good deal haha.

if you're just clipping the speed sensor wire i wouldnt reccomend it as it can cause the car to run abit weird and possibly stall alot.as far as the ecu its hard to say without pulling the rom and reading it.

I would try to google those #'s on that Sard Plaque.Maybe someone has one for sale on ebay or something...

Other than that I would send your ECU to Carl and have him burn you a chip with no Speed limiter and whatever mods you have.

the speed limitter thing was no problem. just put a switch to it so i can turn it on and off. i just want nto know about this ecu

no one can tell you unless the rom is dumped and analyzed.

I'm interested to see what differences SARD made as well..
