ECU question

Is a 94 Q45 ECU compatible with a late-production 95 Q?

Both are federal, non-TCS, non-HICAS cars.

Do you know if they're the same part number? The TSB I have only goes through the 94 model year.

Hitman, might as well try it and if it doesnt work out you can pass it on to the next person.... I think it will be fine, even though the part numbers are different!

EDIT: If I had to put my 2 cents worth, Id say it would work fine....

Any chance Joe could tell you if the part numbers are the same, or you could compare the numbers on yours with the one you'd be buying? If they're the same you'd know for sure - otherwise you'd be taking a chance...

Well, I now have a 94 Q ECU.... Hope it works.

If it will work, I will install it temporarily while my ECu is being sent to JWT for some much-needed tweaking.

So how did the ECU work? did you put the 94 into the 95?

Not yet -

Too busy installing the 4.08 rearend, new rotors, SS lines, ATE Blue fluid and some other assorted tweaks...

If it works, and when you get your modified one back from JWT, I'll take the spare off your hands, to send to JWT, for modification.

I just happen to have a 1994 Non-TCS, Non-HICAS, and Non-California Q45, that needs the JWT modified ECU.
