Does anyone know this ECU. Ive asked this before but now I was able to get under my panel and get some pics.

Looks legit but my question is, is this ecu good enough for a tune up or maybe i have to get a new one?

ECU is REDLINE PERFORMANCE.

that label is what supposedly came with it. Fuel injector has been upgraded to 740cc tho

Won't work with the 740 injectors. You will have to get a new set of chips.

what makes you say it wont work with 740cc?

the injectors have been there for awhile and it seems to run fine. Now Im not sure if previous owner installed a chip as you say to make it work or not

You said that you have upsized to 740 so I'm assuming that the tune was for 550 cc?? Idk half the sticker is missing. If the tune is for z32 maf, 740cc injectors, than you should be fine. If the tune was for the 550cc then you are running way rich. You have a wideband?

As far as the chips, when a nissan ecu is tuned, there is a daughter board installed that can receive to 32 pin e-prom chips that contain all the fuel maps and ignition maps that were altered for your setup (aka ”tune”)

yeah it was upgraded to 740. Now what are some consequences from running to rich?

and I dont think I have daughter board on this ecu. Might have to look again and see if there is.

BUT. If there is no daughter board then that means this ecu cannot be tune correct?

Id have to see the setup but if there is no daughter board than most likely cannot be retuned by chips. If you are going to use those 740's to there potential id invest in a wideband and some sort of knock monitoring. (I have my car at 25psi on 740 nismos) running rich will wash the cylinder walls of done too often. Also with that big is a difference in the tune, gas can get in the oil and cause bearing lubrication issues.

sounds good. I def wanted a wide band. Going for that AEM. and thanks for that info. DIdnt know running rich can have that prob. Not sure what previous owner was thinking. I gotta understand this setup more and more before i Start pushing her out. Btw when you take out a Injector is there a way you can tell how big the CC is?

Unfortunately no. nissan 270,550,740 cc injectors are all red and have no indication of what size they are. You can send them off and have them cleaned and flow tested (which I highly recommend if you are shooting for big numbers). Does the car smoke during idle our wide open throttle??

well not black smoke if thats what your asking. it occasionally smoke during idle yes and throttle. looks like white smoke to me

However I do have some black residue on my exhaust and when im at the garage. I can definetely smell gas

oh btw I do have a downpipe running and a g35 exhaust tip. Maybe thats why I can smell fumes?
