ECU Question

This guy that works for me said he had a S13 and needed a ECU so he got one off another S13 with a auto transmission. He said it knocked out whatever controls top speed(not sure what the correct term is) and I'm not sure cuz of me inebriation , but I think he said it also voided his rev limiter too. Any credit to this claim by you guys or was he shooting it out his arse. He said his top speed went from 115 -135?

the auto is limited at a higher top speed, around 135 i guess? all i know is its higher

he wont have any 4th and 5th gear sensors hooked up so the rev limiter in those gears is gone.

so all he has now is the 135mph limiter.

He is right. Alot of ppl that get the stock s13 ecu I think its 62 or 63 one is auto and the other manual switch to the auto. One its cheaper and two it does remove the rev limit in 4th and 5th and governor is raised. I now p00t already told you I just wanted to give you a second confirmation.
