ecu question

i got a motor without an ecu, do i need a certain ecu for certain years or anything? i found a guy selling a code 65 ecu, what does that mean?

there is the 98, a 65 and i believe a 75

the 98 is out of a silvia

65 is out of a 180sx

and the 75 i believe is for the automatic

correct me if i am wrong guys

there is also the 78, 79 and 99

mines a 79 and is a auto ecu. Don't no if it's from a silvia or a 180sx.

I have a 64 ECU on mine.....tho im not sure if its a turbo/non turbo or manual/auto......but there are lote of different ones
