Hello everyone, here's my problem. I have a 94Q, 80k. Just recently I've been hearing a clicking almost buzzing noise coming from the passenger side. It sounds as if maybe a dash clip was broken or something. Further diagnosis revealed that the sound is coming from the ECU. I checked the connection to the ECU and it is solid. So where do I go from here? Is my ECU going bad? Or is it bad already? Please help, beacuse I'm having some other electrical gremlins and I'm wondering if they all relate to each other.

Did you actually pull the ECU? There are several relays behind it...

No I didn't pull the ecu. I didn't think that a relay could make that noise. Is that possible? I'm good mechanically, but no so electrically inclined. Do you think that could be the problem? Maybe a relay of some sort?

I'm also having problems with the right side of the car. The passengers seat, window, and lock doesn't work. Also the rear right passengers window doesn't work, but the lock works. I did a dignostic and it reported as follows:

LCU 02-A(Data Line A: No Response)LCU 02-A(Data Line B: No Response)LCU 02-B(Data Line A: No Response)LCU 02-B(Data Line B: No Response)LCU 03 (Data Line A: No Response)LCU 03 (Data Line B: No Response)LCU 04 (Data Line A: No Response)LCU 04 (Data Line B: No Response)

All the fuses were checked. Maybe the clicking I'm hearing is part of this problem??

That's very possible. I'd check behind the ECU. A defective relay can lock or chatter, causing the buzzing noise you mentioned. I'm not familiar with the LAN system they used in the later Q45s. I would suggest going to http://www.infiniti-techinfo.com and purchasing the one day viewing subscription for $20. You can download all of the TSBs (Tech. Service Bulletins) and FSM (Factory Service Manual) for your car as .pdf files. Just be sure to have plenty of time and a high speed connection.
