Hey guys,
so i came into possession of a 2011 M56x with one issue.... swapped cluster without the miles reprogrammed.
I was wondering if it was possible to pull the correct mileage from the ecu or bcm so i can match up (roll up) the odometer for inspection.
is there anyway to pull the mileage info stored on the bcm or ecu?
any help would be appreciated!

As far as I know, the cluster has the mileage. So you need to reprogram the cluster to read what the other cluster read or what not. This has been the case on every 'digital' Nissan/Infiniti cluster I've ever dealt with going back to the late 90's (Maxima's).

so if i take it to an emissions inspection with the original cluster which is missing like 10k miles on it because of the replacement no error would pop up on the computer?

While most likely fraudulent lol, technically, I believe that to be correct.

On my old Cobalt, the BCM (little black box) kept the mileage. Mine went out and was replaced under warranty. I just assumed it was true for all OBD2 cars.
