There are a few piggybacks available. Greddy Emanage Ultimate is one of the most popular. Nissan/Infinity can advance the timing, but they don't actually "advance" the timing itself, they advance the baseline setting. This will work at lower RPM's, but at high RPM's and WOT, the timing is variable, and controlled by the ECU. Those settings you would only be able to change with a ROM emulator, and reprogramming.

about how much would the dealer charge for the advance? i would like this since 90% of my driving is under 3500RPM. i'll look up the greddy piggyback. thanks

after looking at that greddy, i think its a little more than what i am looking for. i thought stillen was working on a simple piggyback for the vq at one time? it was going to be simple (slight fuel changes, ignition timing, keep throttle fully open). thats all i want. i guess i'll go to the dealer for the timing advance.

i actually like UTEC because it is a simple snap on piece instead of hard wiring it

and keeping the throttle fully open is hard programed into the ECU , you will need to ship your ECU and get it reflashed ... they can remove the RPM limit .. The Speed limit and tune your car for NA \ FI applications ...

As i said to the PCM Flash thread...

Alot of people like to reflash the ECU for those reasons but also get a UTEC for changing the tuning

Do they not make like a SCT flasher or Xcal for the G? I had one on my SVT focus and made a wonderful difference from the factory tune and only took like 10 minutes to do.
