Holy run on sentence batman!

First start by dumping the code on the computer.. Then once you determine what the code or codes are then refer to the list of codes to find out why the light is coming on. The steps to reset the ECU and the code definitions are located here.

Good luck and may the search button be with you!!

The red led is directly wired to the cel on cars that have it. If the red led is on, then your cel is on and you do need to check codes.

Possibly. What year is it? Someone may have disabled it in the past, or your model may have come without a cel at all. Does it come on when you turn the key on before you start the engine?
