sounds more like some dodgy wiring to me...check your power routing.

My buddy Seth, who has quite a collection of 240's was thinking it may be a relay or an alternator fuse.

How long did u have it running before u had these problems? if it was fine for a while then started acting up, i am willing to bet its ur maf wiring. the same thing happened to me where my maf wiring fell onto my turbo manifold and melted the insulation on the wires, shorting out my ecu. 3 fried ecus later, i finally took. apart my whole harness and found the problem. I replaced the bad wires and its been running fine since. check ur ecu too to make sure nothing is fried. STOP trying to run it until u check everything. hopefully not too much damage has been done.

The car has been running for 3 years (summer only). Computer doesnt smell fried. maf wires are not near anything hot but will check them when i check my relays for ecu. Not driving it cause eu will not stay on...lol.

Take the ecu out of the kick panel but leave it connected, put the key in the on position and move around the wiring at the back of the plug. Mine had a loose pin and you would hear the ECU relay turning on and off when you wiggled it.

ok, today i pulled all of the harness out of the car that plugs into the ECU and cluster. i had 3 wires that were messed up. the first wire was the detonation sensor 1 {cyl 1-3}, this could be my breakup problem.next was the air flow meter intake air quantity signal wire.and last was the battery power supply wire, this one was apart when i got the harness out through the firewall. the wire was green from corrosion.when i did the swap some of the wires were cut from someone pulling the engine. i used a fluke meter and checked to see if the wires for the relays were ok and they checked out.does anybody think this could be my problem???? next im gonna check the maf wires.

i found two wires that sit in the harness by the iac that are blue and light green, they go to the plug for the plug for the cluster. there is no plug on these they are just wires. any ideas??
