I'm about to wrap up the parts scavenging stage for my S14 Auto to manual swap, but i've run into a possible major snag.

I've found a manual ECU from a 95 240sx that is listed to fit into cars with a manufacture date of 6/94-1/95.

problem is, My s14 was manufactured in 2/94.

will this cause a major snag?

heck, i'm not even sure if mine's OBDI or II...

I've searched the heck out of this site, zilvia, fresh alloy, and can't find anything.

any help?

Going ahead of the production date is usually not recommended but sometimes it works out ok. OBD1 vehicles are less prone to trigger codes.

I'm doing the same swap on my 98 in 3 weeks. Question. How did you find out the production dates of your ecu? I was wondering what the production dates were on my ecu to see if I was close also. But I could not find anything. Is there a list or something that tells the production dates?

I just went by the date the car was manufactured.

I looked up the interchange at the junkyard that i found my ECU, but it mentioned nothign about feb 94 production dates.

I do remember them saying that from 2/95 up was interchageable, so you should be good to go.
