ECU iNFO?

my check engine light just went on and i was gona just use my ecu to find out the problem but ive forgotten how to use it. i know its really simple but can someone let me know how? thx.

im pretty sure you have to turn the ignition on [not start] and turn the screw fully counterclockwise. count the blinks [long blinks first number, short blinks second] then turn the screw back fully clockwise.
