I believe it is it wont rev past 2500 rpm's and is running wonderfully rich. But the main question I had was... If it was in limp mode what would the diagnostic light on the ecu do? I know it is supposed to flash 55 yet mine will either stay on or just not come on at all. Is that a symptom of limp mode? Any help would be wonderful and most appreciated.

did you pull codes correctly (i.e. follow the steps on the faq/tech article)?

what did you last do before it started doing this? usually 2k or so rev limit is the maf sensor.

pull codes first. and perhaps give more details as to what you did before this happened & how you pulled codes since I don't think you are doing that right.

Well I just followed the steps in a random thread I found while searching nico. Which was to look at the light on the ecu when the key is turned, just before actually cranking the car. Well I just recently did a sr swap And when I wired the Mafs up I accidentally wired the power to the signal and the signal to the power. At first I thought I fried the mafs after realizing what I did. So to make sure I tested it on my friends ka-e and it worked fine. The wires seem to be fine. One day while searching nico I stumbled across a thread that said faulty wiring on a mafs can send a ecu into limp mode. And thats pretty much where I'm at now. I have checked the volts on the TPS and I have gone over my vacuum lines i don't even know how many times. Im about to go look for the faq/tech article to see if there are any differences in the procedure.

O goodness I have been trying to block that possibility out of my head.
