Ecu Help!!!!!!!

:help Ok I came on before to get a pin chart for my red-top s13 RWD sr20det motor and some1 gave me a link to sr20 hybrids.... now i just got off the phone with HKS because I'm gettin a speed limit defencer and I'm also installing e-manage so i need to be sure about my ecu. HKS said that there are 3 different ECU's that were used with the s13 sr20det....how do i find out for sure which one I have.....i don't wanna install this stuff wrong and blow my motor apart....HKS said I had to be REAL careful and POSITIVE of my ecu before installing these electronics.....some 1 HELP.....:help

Call Jim Wolf Technology in San Diego.There is a way to scan the ECU to find out also.You may also want to take it to the friendliest Nissan dealer near you and beg them to check it for you.

The different ECU's should be 62, 63, E4, E5, and J4.

Whats the number on the ECU? There should only be 2 possible ECU's for the redtop.

there are also "genuine nissan replacement" ecu's floating around, thats what i have, same as the 62 ecu though.

will it say what number ecu it is on it??? My car is put away but i can check it out asap.....HKS said i need to figure out which chassis it was in to cross reference the install (which is in all japanese to make thing easier)

All #62's were created equal, and it only came in the 91-94 s13 chassi.

well they at HKS said that there were 3 different ECU's used in the s13 chassis....red-top or black-top there were 3 versions between the 2....he was VERY CLEAR about being very careful about this.....i just wanna know 4 sure before we start splicing wires

Look at your ECU located usually in the passenger's kick panel and it will have a giant number on it. Mine is 62. That is your ecu#.
