ECU hacking
So I have been doing some research and found people hacking cars ECU's and found som free software for nissan's that I haven't had a chance to check out yet. Does anyone know by chance when re-flashing a 96 obd2 240sx if it matters if you use the consult cable plug or the obd2 plug?

I'm not aware of any system that allows you to hack the factory ECU without at least installing a daughterboard first. What is the system you're referring to?

I forget what I found I think I just googled Nissan ECU hacking and went down to ECUhack. I will update once I get my stuff to make my own consult cables and open up a 96 Altima ECU I just got to see if I can access it with certain software and then ref lash without rechipping the ECU
