I can easily replace it myself but have seena.few comments on reprogramming along with my keys needing to be reprogrammed as well. Also i now i need a new IAT sensor and crankshaft

The # came from the actual ecu in the car as of now. I saw the # after detaching the glove box and locatit it. When trying to read codes from the unit it doesn't provide anything or respond at all

Yep... that definitely looks like the P/N for the ECU. If you haven't checked out your car's factory service manual, it would be worth it to help you in locating the ECU. www.infinitiservicemanual.com

That's a good question, and one I don't know the answer to for sure... I think many locksmiths have the tools to register keys to the ECU, so if you find that you need professional help in that area, I would look to them too. It would probably be cheaper than a dealer.

Thx Q451990! The dealer is charging $135 for reprogramming only no installation, so thats not too bad. I will call a locksmith to get their price as well.

As i remove the passenger kick panel I see another portion of which i think actually maybe the ecm (in second link as im unsure how to post pics). Which is the ecm?

First link of what i purchased:

Let's spell out the acronym.
ECU--the E could be 'engine' or 'electronic'. but we typically associate this with 'engine' unless there is more info provided.
U=unit
M= module

why acronyms can be dangerous and I attempted to tell you that the 47850 6P100 had to do with ABS. yes, it *could* be considered an electronic control unit for the ABS.
so is your problem with your engine computer? that is exceedingly (but not impossibly) rare.
how do you know your intake air temp sensor has issue? from an engine control unit code? if you have code P0110, first check that the connector is mated, then check for a broken wire---which is very easy to break considering that intake piece gets removed frequently to work on the top/front of the engine.

Thx for the response! Yes when I was able to get any codes, as now im unable too which leads me to believe the engine control unit is bad, i did get p0110 p0335 and p0161.
