ECU Fitment

Hey everyone, I have this J30 ecu and was wondering would it bolt up to an NA Z32 with no problems. I can't get a exact answer, they both appeared identical and have the same connectors. But then I get comments saying that ecu was to detuned the J30 VG30DE to 200hp. While other say it was just restrictive intake and exhaust that cause lost of hp compared to the 300zx VG30DE.

hmm, that might be true. You might ask a Z person on some of the Z boards or even the nissanonlinemechanic.com folks. since the Z32 was a sports car, I can see that it would be different.

The Z32 and J30 ECU are different as far as I know but i dont know if theyre different enough..

Push comes to shove, just put one in there and see if it works... You wont do any damage because either it will run fine or not run at all!
