I'm now considering a new ECU after many suggestions this might be the heart of my problem. I found a place online that will rebuild my ECU. Best price so far at around $400. Anybody ever hear of ECU Direct? I don't want to get shafted. http://www.ecudirect.com/index.asp

They say they have fast turnaround time, warranty.

Never heard of them. that doesn't mean they are bad, just unknown to me.
