So I have been having the hestiation 2k-3k RPM and had codes 53 and 13. Also, did the 2k rpm check and both o2's were bad. Replaced all those parts. drove it and still hestiation issues. went to read codes again however the screw now spin freely, has anyone opened the ecu to fix this screw? ECU is labeled BG

Mine is screwed up too but I can still run the self diag. Look up member DVDBURN over at tt.net, I hear he can do that kind of work?

Yea, DVDBurn could fix it up for you. However the easier, cheaper and better long term solution is to go to eBay and pick up a $30 Consult to USB cable and then use free software ECUTalk along with it. This not only lets you pull codes without pulling out the ECU, it also lets you read the sensor readings, and do some other stuff. Super useful.

Has anyone tried this? I would really consider this just to help with diagnostics and such.

Do you happen to have a web address for the free ECUTalk? I haven't searched but would be super helpful if someone else is looking for the info.

Yes... I've tried it, it works great for what it is. It reads codes and returns signal readings. Good enough for most troubleshooting.
