Mines ca18 ecu.

Lights on ECU go:

Blink...................................(im assuming this first light means nothing)

Blink.......Blink....(long pause) blink..blink..blink (short pause) (23?)

blink..blink..blink..blink (4?)

blink..blink..blink..blink..blink (5?)

23 would make sense for me. But if theres no long blink before does this mean its a 2 because the first one started with a 2, meaning it counts as 24 and 25? Or does it mean its just codes 4 and 5? Cause I cant even find codes for 4 and 5

Thanks....i know its hard to explain lol

From it's original position, turn the diagnostic screw on the ecu to the right. This will put you into mode selection which sounds like what you're describing. If I remember correctly mode three or three blinks is the mode that will tell you which trouble codes if any are stored in memory. Immediately after the three blinks turn the diagnostic screw back to the left, or it's original position. The ecu will then perform a sequence of blinks. Five blinks followed by five more blinks is code fifty five. Code fifty five means that there are no codes in memory.

Just because you don't get any codes doesn't mean that a problem won't exist though. Some other electrical or mechanical issues might be at large.

Download the fsm if you haven't already. Everything you need to know is readily available.

very true. my tps is not within specs (1ohm closed - 8.6 full open), but is close, and the ECU shows no codes.

This is where i went wrong. I turned it to the right and left it, and thats what I got. I forgot to turn it back to the left. Ill try again and see if I get codes.
