ecu code trouble- can't find anything w search

i think i got a code 55 on my buddy's ka.

anyone have a link for the ecu codes?

my friend had a harness melt over the weekend, and replaced it with a new lower engine harness. NOW, no start. no crank even. nothing. code 55? hard wired starter and solenoid id not engaging, just spinning.

55 is the all clear code.

he melted the harness? how? and did you try a different starter? if he trashed his harness, it's possible the starter went with it.

ghetto wiring job, cause a few wires near the front left fuse box to melt together all the way back taking out the whole harness.

a new complete non ghetto harness was installed, BUT STILL NO CRANK.

we hard wired the starter one time and got in to spin but i don't think it was enough power to engage it though.

you think we shoukd swap starters?
