this is kindof a rookie question but if I have a 91 s13 and a 98 r33 rb26 how do i pull the codes off the ecu? I know this is probably a question someone has already asked but i searched and could not find it.

it honestly wouldnt surprise me if they did away with it. its kind of an archaic system in comparison to the consult program

"ok count the blinking lights!"

I have the same problem on my RB25DET. i HAVE the dial, but no LED's in the ECU to speak of. I was told that i could wire up my check engine light on the cluster to get it to blink at me, but im not sure which pin to use.

yeah I think I am gonna get a consult cable. I also think i found another way to check the codes in the fsm. I am not near my car right now so i cannot test it but when I do if it works I will post it up here for anyone who has the same issue.

I hate to threadjack, but does anyone know where i can find the R33 ecu Numbers?

EI His ecu is 24U01 , i think i have a non skyline ECU. Here is a side image, this is how it was when i got, except the sticker you see what perfectly stuck onto the surface, i just peeled it back.

Inside that hole where the LED should be, there is nothing, just like the original poster of this thread. Also, that sticker covers over the holes for the dial and hole for the LED, but its never been probed before, untill me.

if you have a non led ecu then it uses the cel to flash codes.the old led ecu also will flash the cel when throwing codes...good to know.
