ECU code 32 EGR function.

Found the "check light" was code 32 EGR function. So i ran the diagnostics.... hold engine just under 2k rpm. Check light goes on/off atleast 5x every 10 seconds. Well what do i do now? What needs to be fixed? Plugs maybe... adjusted. It missfires a lot at about 1700 rpm to 1900 rpm. This is what is triggering the code. Anyone had this problem b4 that can help or just a smarty like Daunttless?
