I've done a basic search and came up with nothing.

So.......

Does anybody know anything/have any experience with the following ECU/EPROM chips?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...=true

I have a bone-stock '92 240 SX convertible and am just looking to add a little power--nothing radical like a turbo or a SR20 conversion.

Thanks in advance.

OK, my mistake:

There's actually QUITE A LOT about chips here--I just didn't let the search thing do it's thing properly. Consider me flaming myself. Doh!

However, any specific or recent posts/experiences would be VERY helpful.

I have a chip for them but I do not have it install. What you get is a chip and instruction on how it desoder and replace it yourself. This is not a plug and play you have to soder it your self or have an electronics shop do it for you. I live in a small town and have not found any one to do the work yet.

If you want to ecm ready to go look for a seller on eBay named speedlabperformance I got a ecm for them with the chip all ready installed.

PS The one is you ask about I got for my truck.

If you need a place to soder that chip in ask around at repair shops that specialize in television or home stereo equipment repair. Thats probably your best bet for finding someone thats really good and experienced with circuitboard modifications.

If I was you I wouldnt get those chips. I think someone on hybridka.com made a post that they downloaded the bin off the chip and found out that all they did was make the fuel maps richer a bit and advanced the timing too much. Im not saying that it's these guy who knows maybe thier chips are legit but you never know.

If you have a SOHC S13 just go on hybridka.org and read up on chipping ecu's.

If you want to do this your self I suggest you go to the webpage I mentioned above get your self the devious stage 3 bin. Socket your own ecu and have fun burning the rom's.

I personaly run the devius stage 3 bin in my car right now wiht nothing but 93 octane and there is a significant change. Have fun.

the wealth of knowledge on that site is great!I too am running the stage3 just make sure your car is running GOOD and before you chip it to set your timing to 15* and that your ecu isnt chunkin codes at you. Also run 93 octane and make sure all other aspects of the engine and related parts(sensors ,valves, pump, injectors) are good. If you go to eccstec and read/search you can do it yourself. Who told me to stop fvckin his dog and get a burner? That son of a biotch was right!
