So I opened up the ECU and desoldered the main chip to put the new one in. I noticed the stock chip has two of the pins soldered together. Is this supposed to be like that? I put the new chip in and did not link those 2 pins with solder like the stock one was and it had some weird issues (boost solenoid and injectors). So I am wondering, am I supposed to fuse those 2 pins together or was my stock ECU soldered sloppy?

there are two pins that are joined together IIRC.

Have a look at the board and I think there is a track between them.

IIRC it's pin 27 & 28

I will look at my spare Mine's ECU and see how it is done. Hopefully it is the same way.
