ECU AND MAF QUESTION.

Hey, so I swapped in a dual cam into my 240 (1990)and have been looking for the proper ECU and such and have found it but I was wondering if I needed any other sensors in the air box besides the maf (like and intake air temp sensor or what ever) to run the car because the air box i got has an extra lead to what I think is and IAT sensor but I dont think s13's came with them and my harness has no connector for it. So if anybody knows please tell me I think the guy I bought the stuff from may have given me a s14 air box or something.

You want air temp sensor and maf, but you can plug the Emissions tube spot.

I don't know what other thing you are talking about with the extra lead, but I only have worked on S13's.

Well your new motor should have came with most of that stuff, but a DE MAF, and air temp sensor are needed. You don't need an airbox, just get a cheap intake with a good filter.

Check the EL section on the FSM's good diagrams in there.

i allso recomend the ECU from an automatic....this eliminated the 4th and 5th gear limiter without doing a bunch of wire hacks..good luck
