I have been having some problems getting my ecu tuned and after receiving some Nico advice i decided to go with getting my ecu socket-ed and doing my own tuning.

I went to a TV repair shop here in the Bahamas and asked them if they could solder a eprom socket in my ecu and they said that they knew too little about car ecu's to attempt to work on it.

Anyway I'm going to Miami tuesday and i wanted to know if anyone new a store in Miami that can do this for me.

I have a friend that can do it, but I'll need to see what he has going on before I turn you on to him.

That TV store was just being stupid and didn't want to work on it. A circut board is a circut board, is a circut board. You might try taking it out of the case and just taking the board in. Don't tell them what it is, just that you want the socket soldered in. If they as what it's out of, just tell them it's a little project of yours. If they keep pressing, ask them if it matters what it's out of and that if they'd like, you can take your business elsewhere. That'll usually get em and they'll do the work.
