First post here got a really strange problem hoping someone can help.
So i recently did an engine swap on my 03 sedan g35. i swapped an engine from another 03 sedan.
when i had everything back together i was looking forward to start it, unfortanetlly it does not start. problems i have noticed so far.
condenser fan turns on immidieatly when key is in the On position
i have no communication from my OBD\DLC port.
No Crank at all
no power going to ECM
When key is in the On position i dont have the following things illuminate
Service Engine soon light
Oil light
Battery Light
Park shift indicatior
no cruise or set light

The things i have done so far
checked all fuses. swapped my ecm from my other sedan {same thing no change}
swapped IPDM from other car still no change.

what do you guys think it could be.

Wiring error?
Did the engine run in the other vehicle that you took it out of?
Follow the electrical schematic diagram in the FSM. It is just point to point battery and ground
Use the trouble shooting section in the FSM
Worst case is a Consult lll would be needed to troubleshoot so you may have to pay a dealer labor rate

Good luck

Yes same wiring harness I think its a wiring error just don't know where and how to troubleshoot it. Do you have the FSM troubleshooting. I've tried consult 2 and 3 but no luck cause there is no communication from the DLC/OBD port. I have to get that sorted out first. What should I be testing wires with and how voltmeter or test light.

Thanks

How did you test the fuses?
Did you verify using a voltmeter or just a visual inspection?

Unfortunately you will need to check each system one at a time starting with getting the OBD port working. That's why I'd hate to do a motor swap in a newer vehicle, all the systems in place.

Good luck
