Hi
The car is in the shop now.
the IACV failed so now I have to ship he ECM to Circuit Board Medics (suggested here in forums).
Initiated a buy for a Hitachi (ABV003?) IACV.

(***how it stalled - my sister was in the parking garage and then the car just stalled. when trying to restart then engine would just die)

They initial quotes from the shop were astronomical. Good thing I read up before it happened to my truck.
It was always a spare car for winter but my sister has been using it to get around town till it stalled without any warnings. (I might have missed and neglected the CEL light) Long story short the owner of the shop agreed with just doing labor. They mentioned they had a dealer bought device to restore the idle (relearn) once the both the ECM/IACV have been reinstalled.

Will keep you guys posted...

Update as of 4/15

Well shop finally installed ECM/IACV - and they used their machine (bought from dealership) and did the relearn- success.

Although I still have to pickup the car and they refused to do custom exhaust job (irrelevant).

Circuit Board Mechanics provide warranty and give you a little card with check lists of who did the repair and what he did...

----just providing information for now...will reconfirm repair once I pickup truck - been busy

Update 4/18

The truck drove fine from the shop to the house and has made 2 more trips after that...with my sister driving it again. It idles fine and operates as it should and as it was before. SO Im happy now although it has another hurdle to go to which is exhaust repair. I will be putting a thrush muffler single in/out.

This could have been avoided (post repair reflections...) had I not assumed that the SES was other than a P0505.I have cleared the code with my OBD scanner. I think a sticky should be made "If you havent changed your IACV better DO IT NOW!" - I think I have a Hitachi ABV00043 (without looking it up). And according to some thread here that it is identical as the OEM - manufactured by Hitachi also.
