So last september, I swapped a DOHC KA with a manual transmission into a '90 240SX that had an auto. When I first did the swap, the ECCS relay would buzz when the key was in the "off" position or removed after being in the "on" position but not running. (this seems to be a symptom of low voltage from what I've read). The buzzing has pretty much stopped, but the brake, battery, check engine, and seat belt warning lights stay on. The ECU is getting power as well. The only way to get the lights/ECU to turn off is to run the engine, then shut the car off. Also, my alternator won't start charging unless I rev the engine up a little, then it charges at around 14V. I had a spare alternator laying around and swapped it out to see if that was the issue, but it still does the same thing. The car starts fine every time, and the engine runs great. I'm about to start putting my turbo parts on and I want to get this sorted out now so I don't compound the problem. From what I've researched, It looks like it could be a bad ground or a bad ECU. I doubt it's the ECU because I used it in my other chassis and had no issues with it, but I'd like to try a good one just to make sure. In the majority of cases I've seen here and on other forums, the cars have been swapped from an auto to a manual transmission. I am 90% sure this has something to do with the problem. I really can't stand electrical issues, and I want to methodically eliminate possible causes, but I don't know how to do so. On most of the threads I have read, the OP never posted a solution. I have a hard copy FSM, so I'm going to try and check the ECCS relay ground first.
