It's hard to lock up the wheels with the ebrake when going in a straightline unless you have super crappy tires. Try doing it while putting some lateral load on the tires, and it is easy to lock them up. Either way, ebrake initiations suck. Clutch kick or feint with kick ftw.

Even though I've seen professional drifters use the e-brake a lot in the videos. You should still try tightening the cable though, because if it never has been, it's very likely that it is loose. Just don't overtighten it to the point where your e-brake will be engaged even if it's all the way down.

Rarely does anybody use it for initiation, except on certain specific corners. It is usually used to extend drifts or change angle.

Don't refer to it as tightening. If you tighten the cable, the brake will always be engaged. "Adjusting the engagement height" is a more proper term.

Are you pushing in the clutch? I know it sounds stupid but some times it is possible to forget...

Ever pro drift video I have seen use e-brake.

hahahah omg I didn't even think of that. I sure hope that he is disengaging the clutch. Good luck trying to stop your motor from running with the ebrake if you don't.

put ebrake down while clutch is in. You don't need to hold it for long, all you do is steer in, clutch, ebrake up, ebrake down, get on gas, pop clutch. All reletively quickly.

when you push the clutch you should hit the gas too so that you can keep the revs up

adjust how much gas you want from there

Take off armrest console. Pull off ebrake boot by sliding it off. Look at cable. Understand.

You will see a bolt sticking out. Just tighten or loosen the bolt, depending on which way it needs to be adjusted.

Pull the ebrake up, 4 of 5 notches, loosen the cable, go all the way down, then up 4 to 5 notches and tighten..

yeah but most of them have hydraulic ebrakes =(

mostly your ebrake will only be used to angle a little better while already in slide. I only really use it on a LONG and very fast corner, otherwise it isn't effective. And yes, what was said about lateral motion is very true, even some hydro brakes wont cut the power to the wheels of a car moving at 130mph =P

I think have this same problem, I think mine are stretched, my ebrake goes up like regular, 7-8 notches I think, and starts resisting but then it will snap and max out. It still holds the car when parked but it won't lock up the rear tires even on wet pavemet. It just slows down the car. The pads dont have much life left on them, stock brakes. Do I have stretched cables?

Make sure you are pressing in the clutch while pulling the e-brake other wise you are trying to stop the motor as well as the wheels when you pull it. If you push in the clutch it doesn't take much to lock the wheels esspecialy the higher the rate of speed.

I held in the clutch when I tried it. I'll try adjusting the ebrake, pads and see if that helps if that doesn't help its probably the cables
