-__- ebrake problem

i'm having a problem with my ebrake. after i push in the button at the end which controls the ratcheting action hard enough, it gets stuck and i have to pop it out with a screwdriver. anybody have any remedies? i'm too lazy to take the entire freaking assembly apart and figure it out from there, haha

umm, dont push it that hard then, or take off the boot and have a look(very simple), or put on one of those spin turn knobs (do a search).

took off the boot, doesn't seem like anything is catching

and to get the ebrake to release, i have to push it that hard.

your gonna have to really look at it. Since I dont have a picture of the mechanism here, its hard to help that much, but it is a very simple device, which you ought to be able to figure out. my guess- the arm/cable that actuates the ratchet has gotten tightend somehow. Did you have this problem before you got the knob?

i got er done right now

looks like a tab on the outside of the ebrake bent in and was rubbing against the rod inside

*shrugs*

i feel like a dumbass now
