Hi there, I just installed a rebuilt(front-most two seals) pair of calipers in the rear of my S13. When I release the e-brake quickly, a 1/2second later I hear a 'snapp' on the driver-side, coming from the brake caliper. If I release the brake handle slowly, I do not hear it. It's quite loud, like metal smacking metal. Repeatable every time.
I had a friend pull/release the ebrake handle while looking at the caliper(just took the wheel off). I thought the cable was hanging up, and the return spring 'holder' was snapping back, but that's not the case. The noise is coming from *inside* the piston housing. I can see the piston touching/pushing the shim/pad, and this isn't the source of the noise. ???
From looking at the FSM, there's an 'adjustment' screw inside the caliper. Is this something that actually gets tweaked? Any idea where this noise is coming from?
Thanks!-Jamie
