Sorry to post in SR forum and here but I need a little bit more traffic.Well as most EBC's users notice, their boost valve solenoid makes a ticking noise when going into boost. So how did you mount or silence it? I found this:

But I can't find it. I checked local parts stores for air tool silencers. Anyone know where to get or the true name/part number? Besides that is their any temp ways to mount these and help silence the ticking? I have heard putting some rubber in the mounting spot helps. Can anyone vouch for this?

Bump. NAPA or Ace Hardware have any clue what it is. Only clue I was given that it may be a carburator fuel/air filter??

according to my HKS EVC-S manual, the solenoid is supposed to be mounted in the engine bay..can you really hear it that much and if so, does it realy bother you?

Yes I know its supposed to be mounted in the engine bay. And yes I can hear it quite loudly. Unless I'm WOT at 4k+ rpm it is loud and I can hear every single tick in clarity.

I found it its a Pneumatic Air Muffler/Silencer.Now to find the correct thread size.
