Hi,

First of all I would like to introduce myself. I leave in Poland and I am a big fan of all Nissan turbo engines. This year good old Santa bought for me Greddy profec B 2 Electronic Boost Controller. Unfortunately I don't know how to install this thing in proper way in my CA18DET. I have made few tests but my boost pressure is dropping. If I set EBC for 0.9 Bar the pressure is going up and up and is reaching 0,9 Bar and then its dropping to 0,5 Bar. I cant hold the boost pressure stable its going up and down. I have done picture how I have installed selenoid under the hood. Can some one please confirm if this is correct. Does any one got best settings for Greddy EBC?

I dont know how to add pictures here so I have added picure on Polish forum.

Picture can be found under this link----> http://www.turbokillers.com/te...96114

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,

Szymon

Jak się masz Szymon.

What is your current setup? what engine, turbo. I saw the pictures but I know very limited polish.

Sounds like your spiking for some reason. It could be that you possibly have a boost leak hiding somewhere causing this. The only other thing i can think of without knowing is maybe your turbo is no longer efficent at .9 bar, altho it would have to be a small/stock turbo for that to be the case.

Hi,

Thank you I am fine You should see my face when I saw you writing in Polish

I have GT28RS, CA18DET. I have done like 10k km on this turbo. The turbo is ok but because of EBC its not holding the pressure which was set on it. Its reaching it and then its going down then the pressure is going up again and down. When I was using MBC the pressure was stable. I asked on Polish forum if they had any experience with this EBC and to confirm if the selenoid is connected with turbo in proper way .

Best regards,

Szymon

check all your clamps make sure they are all tight it kind of sounds like a boost leak, itll spike up and leak down until it comes to a level where it no longer leaks, another thing i could think of is maybe your diaphram in the gate is bad?

Go to the Greddy website and download the instructions for it. It sounds like the GAIN is set incorrectly. If the boost falls off at a high rpm or boost increases as rpm increases, raise the gain value.**Raising the Gain raises the SET Boost pressure**You need to download the manual from the Greddy website before you start to fool around with the controller, you can seriously mess something up.

For the Motherf* win :P

Even a stock T25 should hold up to 1 bar pressure with a freeflow intake and exhaust, with a gt28 it should not be a problem. As far as I can see from the picture its connected properly. I have the same BC, but not yet connected so I dont have experience in setting it up yet. 2 of my mates here have also the same BC, I'll ask them if they had similar problems once I get home .

What I hear from my mates and what I read on the Dutch SX forums, is that this could be due to the gain being set to low, but they all talk about the boost dropping back to stock, not fluctuating between stock boost and like 0,9 bar.

The correct settings differ on each car, so its trial and error really, try raising the gain small bits at a time, try to get the boost stable and make sure it does not spike.

The above statement was taken directly from my manual it is the GAIN that is set incorrectly I have a profec B on my 240 and I had the same problem and when I adjusted the GAIN it fixed the problem
