There is already a fairly long thread on here about this particular kit. READ IT.zerothread/301433

The bottom line with EBAY turbo kits is actually really simple. The T2 flanged kits are good for a small amount of boost because the turbo is simply not the right size for the KA. But for low boost, say 8 psi they are fine. The turbo's themselves are basically junk on the inside. The bushings are made from a generic brass, no quality. But a rebuild kit is under $100 if and when it does take a crap on you. The rest is usually decent enough to be used for a good length of time.

The BOV's usually need the inside sanded so they don't leak. The couplings aren't very strong but work great for low boost. The piping is alum or steel, both work fine. The mani in this kit is better then the other version that comes with a T3 or T4 flange. Both may crack, but that's easy enough to fix if it does.

In the end, you get alot of cheap products that can be made to work pretty well if you know what you're doing.

I'll make a good thread about EBay kits here this weekend detailing the goods and bads and why it's ok to buy them as long as you accept the risks involved.

The 'Flex pipe on the d pipe' is refering to that section where the exhaust looks like a vacuum hose wrapped in braided steel on almost every car. It allows the exhaust to 'flex' so it doesnt crack. The 'd' pipe is the 'down' pipe, thats the pipe that exits the turbo and runs to the ehaust.
