Ok, I bought this turbo on Ebay a couple weeks ago, and I just received it yesterday. The original advertisement said "T3/T4 .63/.60"

It's not exactly what I thought. It looks to be a turbo from one of those turbo coupe thunderbird's, because of the intake part of the compressor. It has a flange with a 2-bolt pattern. It also has that weird downpipe elbow coming off of the turbine.

Also, on the inside of the turbine housing, it has a little .48, making me think that's the A/R. Is that where they label it? If so, I got gyped.

Oh well, I guess that's what I get for 130 bucks. I know that it's definitely not a T4 compressor though.

Well well you get what you pay for. :) If you want a real turbo I have a brand new TO4B turbo for $400. Hence brand new with gaskets. The turbo can push up to 500Hp

oh yeah the guy that sold it probably didnt even look at the turbo. thats why he said it was a.63/60. but you have the automatic turbo like i do. the autos have an ar of.48 while the manual has an ar of .63. still crap though cause its a straight t3.

the mt t bird engine can support some decent hp, it would be ok for a lower powered ka. it did, afterall, come off a 2.3 liter.

Think that's bad? I bid on an auction for a T3/T4 turbo, had a picture, and what I got was a TE04H from a Starion. Can't even use it, what a screwjob I'll tell ya.

red240ne Can’t you get you money back?

I mean this is one big misrepresentation of the auction, go here and complain if the seller refuseshttp://pages.ebay.com/help/con....html

hmmm...i'll have to double check, but iirc, the tbird's turbo was some type of hybrid with the exact specs he listed. i'm not sure he has a leg to stand on.

when buying stuff off ebay, you really need to watch how things are worded, and asks for pictures (even if there are already pics listed).

oh yea...and I have a z31 turbo now. It's actually in pretty good condition right now. I will rebuild it, but I'm gonna throw it on there for now. I'll take it off if it spits a bunch of oil, LOL.
