First off i know alot about cars and do all my mods and work on cars my self. From changing oil and spark plugs to swaping trannys and motors. I just bought my altima a few months ago and im wanting to do a few mods this winter while it sits in the garage. wondering what mods you guys have done? anything would be great. I was also wondering if anyone has ever boughten stuff on ebay? and how it worked like the performce chip that they say can give you a S*** load of HP and MPG.

Well I don't know a lot about cars, but I've bought (not boughten.. though that did make me laugh hehe) a few items off ebay, for my coupe and Sentra 1.8. I bought a $135 cat-back exhaust for my coupe this July and it works great, just needed a few adjustments and at a total cost of $310 parts and labor I had a brand spanking new unique mild sounding exhaust.

As for other parts, check out the Racing line Y-pipe, claims to give 10-13 whp (best bang for the buck apparently). It's on ebay as well.

Short ram intakes are another mod, though I don't know if anyone really noticed any gains, it's more so the sound.

Performance chips.... the ebay stuff is all crap for the most part. However the Bullydog tuners are what everyone seems to be raving about, so you might want to head over to the other thread (I think it's in the "Altima Engine & Tuning" forum). The Bullydog gives some mild HP gains but requires the use of higher octane gas at least for the 2.5 engine (in the case of the 3.5L, you already run premium fuel so that's different).

Good luck!

really if u can do all that stuff y would u even consider that (chip) the only tuner we technically have is the bullydog gt tuner ,,,,, n I don't have it so I can't say

IDE try stillen for anything performance parts they May be a lil high but it's worth it

For suspension IDE do racingline stuff bc they r cheaper than stillen n everyone says there pretty much the same
