I am certain Ebay has some type of rules for intellectual property, I am certain you can take your case to them.

You could start with asking them to take it down, I am sure eBay would want that to be the first step.

Have to agree with this comment. Contact Ebay and tell them what's going on, and maybe include your original picture as proof. This guy should be held accountable for stealing your property.I would also contact the seller directly, and let him know that you are not pleased.Let us know what happens.

Dude is not going to give him free parts, no one would do that.

At least you can be proud that your ride is sick enough to be visually stolen. So what happened?

Yes they do actually, someone stole a pic of my buddies integra on ebay AND there website, they were displaying a suspension setup that wasnt even on his car, my freind confronted them via phone, and recieved several strut bars and underbody strut braces for free for the rights to the pic.

Dont count out free parts

That is some truly crappy Photoshopping they have done. I love how they put a watermark on the pictures stating 'Product picture all rights reserved' even though they didn't even have proper rights to use the image.

This is funny.

You have a few different options:

1) Ask for royalties. Even if they take the picture down, you're entitled as copyright doesn't have to be registered (it just helps).

2) Ask for parts.

3) Get ebay to issue a cease and disist (sorry can't spell)

4) Just ask for credit (LAME!!!)

Look at it this way. You're not a professional photographer, but you still have the same rights as one when it comes to your intellectual property. The only limitation is if ebay's TOS has some copyright waiver in it, but usually they reserve the right to use the photos for their own advertising not to grant it to other customers.

I'm a graphic designer, I've done my research to prevent dummies from stealing my work.

I would recognize those yellow drums anywhere!! (seperate thread-but I am digging the yellow calipers everyone had a diff comment on). Slick, they really should offer you some parts (both sellers). that is just sad, watermark a pic they stole.... I would take it as a compliment IF and only IF they contacted me and offered something for it. AND since they have not, I would ask for compensation.

side note-sentient-that is one cute crittter you have there!! Shih Tzu??

slick,

is this another site?? this is the site I was going to order from. If you can get me a free grille that would be cool, heck get a bakers dozen of grilles. Crazy thing is, they already had a pic of a Silver Path on previous listings.

http://picclick.com/eBay-Motor....html

you think they would have at least used a pic with the garage door down. personally, i wouldnt find this one a compliment but an invasion of privacy as well as Pathfinder Identity Theft!
