i'm sorry i couldn't find it in a recent search, so i'm asking hopefully for the first time.

there's a 'new item' on ebay listed as aluminum SR20DET FMIC piping kit. the kit includes hot and cold pipes, some bracketry, and an FMIC. there's also kits without the FMIC included, but there's less photos.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1

anyway, will this fit a CA? i'm unsure if the piping will line up with the CA's intake and turbo oulet.

i downloaded the one pic of it mounted. i never really understood what the S14 cold pipe looked like; if it ran under the battery tray or went thru the stock holes. i'd rather not go thru the stock holes for the cold side.

I like the ssauto setup better (which includes the IC, piping, couplers, t-bolt clamps) and its only $295 + shipping. Looks like the same exact IC too.

i don't know if they're the same ic though, this one has 3" inlets, which i'm not really a fan of. i believe the price difference is this kit is aluminum, not stainless.

also, the kit shows it's installed on a CA with a tube manifold. i think that difference alone would make it a slight mis-fit a stock mani. cuz i know when i bought their DP, it was designed with the tube manifold, and wouldn't fit the stock setup. it hit the framerail and was out atleast 1.5 inches.

ca18detdrift isnt having any problems as seen in this pic here....

If you look a couple threads down from this one, you can see the thread he started with pics of his setup. As for aluminum vs stainless, its only a negligible difference in weight, and the the metal is pretty thin so heat absorbtion would be marginal. Both ICs have 3" inlets... oh well. Doesnt make much of a difference right AT the intercooler. If the transition was somewhere else in the piping I could understand.

sweet, thanks for the info. i didn't realize both kits had 3" outlets on the FMICs.

i might as well buy the SS kit for the CA, rather than try to fit the SR one.
