K guys.. Im in the market for a short shifter for my s13 but dont have the bucks to splurge on the B&M. I have heard some good storys about the 1 piece B&M clone ebay shifters. I have been checkin a few out and I have narrowed it down to these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

What do you guys think? Any of you have any of the above shifters? How do they perform? Thanks

For starters...... Those really aren't short. I ordered this one

And i still had to cut it down to where i wanted it. I had to re-tap the shifter as well... The plastic cap on the bottom breaks off after a while and it starts to rattle... If you want cheap go for that one and just cut it down to the height you want. You can have it looking this short

A short throw shifter isn't necessarily going to have a shorter lever, only shorter movement between the gears.

i have a b&m knockoff, its ok.... more difficult to get into gears i would say, but ya shorter throws whatever, I was doing a transmission swap and didnt have a shifter so i needed it. also the bushing on the end was the wrong size.

I have that exact same one and its been on the car for almost a year, it leaks where it connects to the transmission and it makes the shifter sloppier than before.

Did the B&M knockoff take out the slop? That would be my main reason for buying a new shifter.
