Wow, good catch.
People are scamming on 240sx's because they're hot right now, because people WANT them pretty badly. It's amazing what a desperate buyer is willing to believe if there's even the REMOTEST chance of getting the car. I have a friend who almost got scammed out of $2000 in an overseas Supra scam. The car was listed as having been in California on the sale site, and when he did a Google search on the VIN, the same car came up, except in Oregon. He contacted the owner, who told him his late brother had owned the car in LONDON, ENGLAND, and that for it to be shipped, he would need a $2000 deposit. My friend was ONE DAY AWAY from sending a money order before I got wind of the deal. I looked into it, and after I had done a REAL VIN check, after I had pulled apart ALL the "logic" of the seller's story, after I had PROVED there was no Supra waiting for him in London, he just sat there and said, "Well, I'll e-mail the guy again and see what he has to say about all this." I was blown away, but it's typical... the buyer doesn't want to believe that it's a fake. They only see themselves in the car.
Needless to say, I just e-mailed this seller. We could definately do without scammers like this.
