I would rather purchase a car that is clean but not detailed. Its easy to remove years of no wax with a buffer, same cant be said for changing the oil.

People who take car of thier cars on the outside tend to take car of maintenance as well

Thank you. I detail my car every weekend. I also have polished my car and clayed her twice since I have owned her. My friends always compliment how clean my car is. Also, I believe polishing a car prior to snowing or heavy rains will help the paint survive the climate.
