ebay problem

i bid on a torque wrench then realised it isnt what i need. damnit! ive already decided im not paying for it. to hell with that. anyway to get out of it more gracefully than just bailing?id send a polite message to cancel the bid but some people are scumbags and itd make it worse if thats the case. what do i do?i looked the iten up it retails at $200 i bid $46 used but its not what i need.

Did you win the auction already? If not just hope you get outbid. If you won... pay up. You can always re-sell it. I've made the same stupid mistake... it's just part of the game. Or take the negative feedback and be a decent human being and don't leave him negative feedback in return.

There is a method to retract bids... but I'm not sure how it works... and I think it does show up in your feedback profile.

you messed up, it cost them to relist it if you dont pay. so suck it up and pay for it, relist it or keep it. you may need it down the road, its always cool to have more tools

fortunately i got outbid

after purchasing a car through ebay im not losing a penny over a measly $50 transaction they can suck my a$$

That's a great attitude. Some of us take the Ebay "community" thing seriously. I've spent a HELL of a lot of money there... including the race quad in my sig... and thousands of dollars in performance parts for all my toys. Lucky for the seller you got outbid.
