I know a few questions have been asked in the past about these eprom chips http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWD1V . The chip removes the rpm limiter, removes the speed limiter, and removes boost/fuel cut, and remaps timing/fuel curves.

Well, I got curious and bought one of them a couple weeks ago... Tonight I finally got around to socketing my computer, and installing the new eprom - After instalation the car fired right up. Upon my initial impressions I would definately say that it "sounds" a lot healthier when reving the engine a bit. Unfortunately I cant say how it drives with this new chip installed(as my clutch hydraulics took a dump - so I can't drive the car). But I should have the clutch fixed by this weekend, at which point I will post my impressions after the test drive!

Just figured some of you would be interested in finding this out!

You know...I would love to have someone with a eprom reader download all the values off these chips and compare them. I wonder how many different tunes are floating around out there and which ones are exact copies of others, but merely rebadged. If anyone on here has a reader and can do this I'd be willing to send you my chip to read (badged as "Farina Racing") I bought on these forums a few years ago. I think it would be sweet to put together a collection of these spreadsheets (or whatever type files are used to store the data) online so folks who have eprom burners and programs to edit the tunes can try the tunes out by burning their own chips instead of paying big bucks for mystery tunes.

I can do it! Send it on over... Also, the site I run has a few .BIN's already on it. I can't vouch for them though as they are for various setups. http://ca18det.escic.com

What setup is it for? Everything stock or which maf, turbo, and injectors. If it is for a stock setup and you think it's worth it I might get one. Let us know what you think about it.

Hmm, looks fairly solid, I still get a little weary whenever I see a product sold for a "sylvia".

Cool, email me your mailing address and I'll send it down...but I'd need it back w/in a month because I plan on getting the car running again when my weekend class is over I'm taking.

Hopefully we can get a few other volunteers to do this;My ecu is supposidly for:440cc/Zmaf/no speed cut/rev limit raisedbut beside that I'm not sure what variables are tweaked.

The one I got is stock injectors/stock maf, but the guy says he can do larger injectors/maf too... If he will give me a discount I might buy another for 450cc dsm injectors, and n60 maf (as that is a very common/cheap setup, and then if it runs right we can get that tune uploaded with c-rad too lol) If I like it on the test drive, I'll let it be borrowed so the program can be pulled from it
