Post

Well, When I bought one quite a while back I said I would post a follow up about how well it worked... Well overall I would say the car runs better with it. At the least it did what it said it would - removed fuel cut, rpm limiter, and speed limiter. I ran the car out in 2nd pretty far - and later checked the peak rpm on my hks turbotimer - showed 9,990rpm. (up from a prior 7800rpm) I think it definately makes more power higher up in the range than it did before(tested on the seat of my pants dyno ). I havent gotten a chance to test out any of the guys other tunes for different injectors... and don't know if I will. I will most likely be selling, or parting out the car some time in april/may, for several reasons. Anyways, its late - just figured I would drop a quick note in.

You are the reason they INVENTED a rev limiter.

MORON.

Make sure to post pics when the motor goes.

wow - thanks for an attempt at being a jackass. The engine won't blow up from a quick test like that(unless it is in ****ty condition), secondly - I didn't ask for your opinion. What motivated you to stroll into my thread, make wise *** remarks, and instantly call me a moron? Its the few bad apples in the group like you that make discussion forums crappy.

All it takes is for the rotating pieces to go beyond the pressures they can hold, and they deform.

Good luck with your motor, if it was in ****ty condition before, it probably is now.

yey juicy threads....

well i agree with the deformation jank...and messing crap up

but for a constructive critism thing... hey atleast you found something that does what it says right?....anyways thanks for the useful info and as for

"You are the reason they INVENTED a rev limiter."

...more like people like you are the reason us broke people know whats worth buying and what isnt...thanks again for guinea pigging your car for test results that we can go by

and its people who cut the rev limit thinking they have more power now then complain that their engine blew....that are the reason they INVENTED blah blah scroll up its been said already....

The flaming stops now, or I'm gonna start handing out vacations.

No, it's not a good idea to rev the motor to 9K if it's not prepared for it, but you can tell him that with out name calling.

even though the post lost its flavour at least i got some info on what not to do to my motor i have alot of respect for it and mods but some things should be taken into consideration . no one said anything is wrong with lengthing your rpm band but not to go bonkers on it even if you can rev that high control shold be the key . the motor can already rev high compared to my old ka but i never bounced it off the limiter . just my 10cents
